As 2024 begins, we look both back and ahead at our impact. Through our commitment to providing effective programming and education, Plus One Foundation helped transform the lives of those with neurological conditions.

We know that about 2.8 million Americans sustain brain injuries each year, and an estimated 5.3 million Americans are living with disabilities related to traumatic brain injury.  That means, for many, the effects of TBIs are long lasting. With brain research as one of the last frontiers in medical research we are excited to announce Plus One Foundation’s launch of a year long education campaign on neurological conditions and TBIs and associated research. Each month and quarter we will feature educational information and outreach on a contemporary neurological topic.

In a digestible way, we will explore topics such as:
-neurobehavioral disabilities
-motivational disorders after TBIs
-music therapy and neurology
-movement therapies for neurodegenerative diseases
-the degenerative brain disease associated with repeated hits to the head

Education is at the heart of what we do; our Think aBout It campaign aims to dig deeper into all aspects of TBIs and neurological conditions.
