In this board member spotlight, we highlight our Board director Saira Shariff. Saira leads the grants and programs committee and chairs our signature event, Stand Up for Plus One.

Saira received her electrical engineer degree at the University of Michigan and now works for Microsoft. She has a strong interest in emerging technologies that assist with accessibility for individuals with disabilities. When recently asked about what makes Plus One Foundation special for her, Saira explained:

“I wanted to make a meaningful contribution towards improving the lives of those suffering from neurological conditions in my community by raising awareness about these often-silent disorders. The Plus One Foundation's mission inspired me to get more involved and help make a difference.”

All of our Board members have a unique perspective that drives their commitment to Plus One Foundation, and together we can learn from our shared experiences. We are so thankful for Saira’s expertise and energy, and for her enthusiasm for technology and helping those with neurological conditions.
