Plus One recognizes March as Brain Injury Awareness Month- Join us for Stand Up For Plus One on April 1.

Brain Injury Awareness Month - March 2023

Did you know?

Brain injury is a leading cause of death and disability in the U.S. At least 2.8 million Americans sustain traumatic brain injuries (TBI) each year.

In recognition of March as Brain Injury Awareness Month, we are holding our annual fundraising event -- Stand Up for Plus One -- on April 1st, 2023 at the Ballard Elks Lodge! Join us for a fun evening featuring stand-up comedians, success stories from Plus One clients, tasty food and beverages, and a silent/live auction to fund programs for those with neurological conditions. Headlined by local Seattle comedian Meaghan Gross the evening will be a fun gathering.

With this annual event we aim to increase resources for those living with TBIs and enhance the awareness of the need for support systems.

Plus One is dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding of TBIs and improving the lives of those with neurological conditions. During Brain Injury Awareness Month we join the community to help:

  • Eliminate the stigma for those with TBIs through outreach and education about the many causes of brain injuries.

  • Empower those who have survived TBIs and their caregivers.

  • Educate about Plus One resources available to people living with TBIs.

So join us on April 1 and Stand up for Plus One!
